Supporters to keep supporting
Even though we lost the election for the construction of a new Veterans Community Hall, we still have a lot of supporters. It is to those people that we are appealing. We have established a tax deductible account for donations for those willing to donate to this fund. The account will be used solely for the construction of a new Veterans Community Hall in downtown Valley Springs. We will have various fund raisers towards that goal and the first will be a dinner-dance in April. Our main supporters will be the people who already use the hall and know that a larger, more up-to-date Veterans Community building is sorely needed and will be the start of making Valley Springs a place on the map where people will want to come for various events. Valley Springs needs a culture center where various events can be held in our town. The ABA is trying to come up with ideas to improve the appearance of our town. What better way to improve our town than to have a modern and attractive new community hall for events that will attract people from all around. Lets not let our town die or become unattractive. To make a town vital and inviting needs a commitment on your part. If you would like to help with the beautification process for Valley Springs and can donate towards it, send your check made out to Jenny Lind Veterans Memorial District and specify “Building Fund”. The money will be deposited with the county and will be secured in the U.S. Bank until it is used for the construction of the building. Send it to Jenny Lind Veterans Memorial District, P.O. Box 548, Valley Springs, CA 95252 or bring it to our office at the Veterans Community Hall on Pine Street. You will receive a receipt and your name will be placed on a plaque displayed in a prominent place in the entry of the new hall. For further information call 772-9650.
Lets start to make Valley Springs more than a town just to drive through. Let your heart be your guide.
